Welcome to Grafton Primary School

As Co-Chairs of Governors, we are delighted to welcome you to the Grafton Primary School website. Our school is proud to be recognised by Ofsted as Outstanding and to hold UNICEF’s Gold Rights Respecting School Award, reflecting our commitment to placing the Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of everything we do. We have high expectations and strive to help every child reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Board of Governors works in close partnership with the Headteacher and staff to ensure that every child receives the very best education. We are responsible for monitoring and evaluating the school’s performance, managing the budget responsibly, and supporting our dedicated team. Above all, we make sure that every child feels safe, valued, and supported in their all-round development.

Our curriculum is broad, balanced, and designed to make learning enjoyable. Our experienced and committed staff work hand in hand with parents and pupils to create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment where children can thrive.

Governors are always keen to hear from parents. You can contact us through the school office at any time, and we also provide a dedicated Governors’ Suggestion Box for direct communication. We look forward to your ideas and feedback.
