Grafton Primary School is committed to safeguarding every child in our school. All adults working with children in our school are required to have a satisfactory DBS check and checks will also be made using the Barred List.

Volunteers

At Grafton Primary School, we have lots of parents who are interested in volunteering within our school. This may be to give something back to the school community, or to help them gain experience in an educational setting before beginning their own journey to a career in education, either as a teacher or teaching assistant. 

If you wish to apply for or a volunteer or work placement at our school, please complete the form below and either email it to pwinter@graftonprimary.co.uk or bring a printed copy into the school office.

In order to work within a school, all staff, including volunteers and work placement trainees, must have a DBS check carried out. This ensures that all of our safer recruitment procedures are being followed.

If you are a parent volunteer, we can help organise this for you. (Please note: if you already hold a current DBS certificate from another setting, you must be signed up to the update service for us to be able to accept it.)

We welcome applications for volunteer or work experience placements at our school, however we do have a limited number of volunteers that we can accept at any one time. 

Making an application does not guarantee a placement and a placement can only begin once all of the recruitment checks and procedures have been carried out.
