Week Ending 21st June 2019
This week in Year 5 the children have been working hard to complete assessments in Maths, Reading and Grammar.
Friday was the first day of our Rights Respecting Week. The children learned about how to keep themselves safe online and protecting their bodies. A member of the Borough's Road Safety Team delivered a session on road safety which reminded the children how to keep themselves safe whilst travelling in cars, cycling and walking.
A group of children from 5 Alder attended 'The Great Science Share' at Eastbrook Primary School. The children read a book called 'Pesky Plastic' which helped them to consider the impact of plastic pollution. They made pencil pots out of plastic bags which were displayed during the science share. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and their behaviour was impeccable.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
