Children are encouraged to read at home regularly, books can include ones from home. Every week children will receive their spelling sheet on a Monday to learn and practise every night and to complete a sentence with each spelling word on the back to show understanding. Spelling sheets are due in on Friday. Also, on Mondays children will receive their weekly homework. which will be due in the following Monday. Maths homework is handed out on a Friday and due in the following Friday. If children misplace their homework please see class teachers for an extra copy.
Children are also encouraged to practise times tables by regularly using Times Tables Rockstars and also use Mathletics at home. Purple Mash can also be used at home for all learning - there are spelling resources and games, Maths games, Reading comprehensions, ICT activities linked to English, Science and other topics. Children have their logins for Mathletics and Purple Mash, if you require these again please ask class teachers.
