Together We Learn, Together We Achieve

We know all our pupils are keen to continue reading and take reading books home again.

In order to ensure the safety of both our pupils and staff we are taking the following precautions:

  1. Starting from Monday 21st September 2020, your child(ren) will be able to take home books as normal along with their Reading Record. We ask that you follow the reading guidance below, to ensure your child is getting the most out of their reading book.
  2. Upon returning their book, each book will then be taken out of circulation and quarantined.
  3.  All Reading records must be handed in every Friday morning only so that teachers can quarantine them for 48 hours and check them on either Monday or Tuesday morning.  We ask that you be patient with teachers if they are unable to get your child's Reading Records back to them on Monday.
  4. Once all Reading Records have been handed out, your child(ren) will be asked to take them home again where they should not be returned again until Friday.

We would like to remind all parents that children should be reading every night (where possible) and parents are expected to date and leave a comment in Reading records accordingly.
