Y3 News Story

In literacy the children have started to look at non-fiction report writing. They have been recapping the features of non-fiction texts and the formal style of writing used. The children will be applying their learning by creating their own Egyptian reports over the next few weeks. In maths the children have been developing their multiplication knowledge by focussing on the 2, 4 and 8 times tables. We looked at the relationship between these multiples and how they relate to division facts. Please remind your child to log onto times tables rock stars to practise regularly – let’s see who can become a rock legend! The Egyptian day was a huge success on Tuesday. It was fantastic seeing all the children in their wonderful costumes, don’t forget to keep them safe for the Egyptian play at the end of next term. Date for your diary: The Egyptian play will be held on Wednesday 3rd April and Thursday 4th April at 2:15pm. All children will perform on both days but due to issues with space we would like to invite Cedar/Chestnut parents to watch on the Wednesday and Aspen/Birch on Thursday. Children will need to bring their costumes back into school on Monday 1st April.
