This week in Literacy we have continued our learning about play scripts. We have learned about the importance of stage directions and props. Children really enjoyed writing their own versions of scenes from 'The Twits: A set of plays'. We are all very excited for next week's workshop run by the story teller John Kirk based on 'The Twits'.
In Topic, we have learned how to identify countries which lie within the Arctic Circle. In Indoor P.E, children demonstrated the movement of various animals found in the Arctic Circle using their bodies to create different animalistic movements.
In Maths, we have revisted addition with a focus on adding 1s, 10s and 100s. The children have worked really hard at solving addition word problems.
In Science, we have continued our learning about forces and magnets. Children have investigated different surfaces and compared how objects move on different surfaces.
Can we remind parents to try and remember to bring their pantomime letters in to the office as soon as possible please. Chestnut and Aspen are going on Tuesday 12th December; Cedar and Birch are going on Friday 15th December.
We hope that everyone has a great weekend!
