Friday 8th December 2017

A massive well done to all the children in Year 3 this week. Children have worked extremely hard during assessment week, showing off all they have learned this term in Reading, Writing and Maths papers.

This week in Topic we have been comparing life in the UK to life in the Polar Regions. In computing, we have begun our learning about Data Handling. We are linking this to our Polar Regions topic as we have been collecting weather information. All week we have compared the daily weather in Dagenham with the daily weather in Murmansk. Next week we will be creating spreadsheets and generating graphs from this data.

Thank you to all those who kindly donated items for the Christmas Fete. We really appreciate it! On Monday 18th December, in the afternoon, Year three will be having our Christmas parties.

If we could politely request that each child brings in a small item of food or drink towards the party.

Important notice: Children are only allowed to bring in pre-packaged items bought from a shop (No homemade items, no sandwiches, no items containing nuts).

We are really looking forward to our panto trip next week!

Aspen and Chestnut - Tuesday 12th December, leaving school at 1pm returning by 4.30pm.

Birch and Cedar - Friday 15th December, leaving school at 9am returning by 1pm. Birch and Cedar will need to bring a packed lunch on this day as we will be returning after lunch.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
