Together We Learn, Together We Achieve

Friday 1st December 2017

We have had a very busy week in year three, learning about dialogue in Literacy and angles in Maths. We have also been learning about how animals in the Antarctic adapt to survive in the harsh conditions.

As the days are getting much colder, it is now advisable that all children wear hats, gloves and scarves to school. As we continue outdoor PE throughout the winter it is also advised that children wear tracksuit bottoms for PE.

The lead up to Christmas will be even busier! Next week, Grafton's Christmas fete will take place on Wednesday after school. We are still looking for donations of sweets, biscuits, unused colouring books and unwanted toiletries. Please send them into your class teacher or to the office.

Next week is also assessment week across the school. In year three, we will be showing off all we have learned this term in reading, writing and maths papers. These tests will take place from Monday - Wednesday.

Just a gentle reminder about our upcoming panto trip - we are still waiting for a number of reply slips and fees to be made payable through parent pay. If you require a new letter please ask in the office or ask your class teacher.

Aspen and Chestnut -   Tuesday 12th December, leaving school at 1pm returning by 4.30pm.

Birch and Cedar - Friday 15th December, leaving school at 9am returning by 1pm. Birch and Cedar will need to bring a packed lunch on this day as we will be returning after lunch.

Have a restful weekend.
