Literacy this week was different to normal as everything was linked to Computing. We started the week by watching a video clip where we used our senses to describe it. The rest of the week we thought about how people felt during the time of the Great Fire of London. This included role playing being Samuel Pepys, Thomas Farriner the Baker and other people who experienced the fire. We used ipads to record us acting and using our interviewing skills to find out more information.
Linked to our topic, in History we were comparing London now to London in 1666. The children could name a selection of differences, including how the houses were made of wood where now they are made of brick, and how men used to put fires out using leather buckets but now we have a fire service who use fire engines.
In Science we have started planting our vegetables. We are all excited to find out which will grow best. We will update you later in the year.
