This week in literacy, year 2 have been retelling the story of 'Rumpelstiltskin'. They have been using language used in many traditional tales and choosing some really interesting words and phrases to make their stories stand out.

In maths they have been adding two-digit numbers on a numberline by partitioning the lowest number in to tens and ones.

In topic the children have been learning about Richard III and debating with each other about whether or not they think he was a murderer. The children have been giving valid reasons to support their arguments. Maybe you could do some research on him as a family and hold your own debate.

Congratulations to Ezzah Ahmed in 2Rectangle who won the 'Design your own Red Nose' competition within the year group.
