The children have all settled straight back in and behaviour has been great.
Our new topic is 'Knights and Castles' and the children are very excited to start it. Over the next few weeks we will be looking at the roles of people within a castle and some famous monarchs in British history.
In Science, we are studying plants. The children will be growing their own seeds and bulbs and planting them in different conditions to see where a plant grows the best. They will be recording the progress in a diary each week.
In literacy the children have written their own emails to the owners of Mountfitchet, asking lots of appropriate questions about our upcoming school trip there.
In maths, the children have been measuring weight and reading scales. They have also been able to answer word problems involving weight.
Don't forget, World Book Day is on Thursday 7th March and the theme is heroes and villains. You're child can come to school dressed as their favourite hero or villain from a book!
