This week was World Book Day and it was great to see so many children dressed up as book characters!
In Year 1 we immersed ourselves in a new space themed book, 'Man on the Moon' by Simon Bartram. We made predictions, shared our opinions and acted out parts of the story. Then we decorated 'planet snacks' for Bob, the main character. We collected data on our favourite space themed story and presented it in a pictogram.
At 2 pm we joined thousands of children around the country to watch a live story telling session of 'Ruby's Worry' that the children thoroughly enjoyed.
The children who chose to take part in the book swap were able to bring a different book home to enjoy.
We hope the children have a fantastic day and it reinforced their love of books.
