This week has been a very exciting week in Year 1. In Science/History, the children really enjoyed their visit from Mr Horsey (a local mechanic) who discussed the importance and part the Wright brothers played in creating multiple modes of transport. We looked closely at materials with a focus on the different types of materials used to make different types of transport.

In Literacy, we have been reading the book 'Man on the Moon' by Simon Bartram. The children have been using the text to find out inferred information about a character and have explored settings through role-play. The children particularly enjoyed acting out a trip to the moon!

In Maths, we have been learning about multiplication. The children have really impressed us with their ability to multiply using arrays.

In Religious Education, we have been learning how to identify holy books in different religions. The children really enjoyed sharing their favourite books and explaining why they are special to them.

Have a lovely weekend.
