Wb – 2.10.17

This week the children have been shown the main features of a book, after being introduced to the story Owl Babies. They have been encouraged to think about how the characters feel, and to join in with a repeated phrase. They have been copying clapping patterns, and exploring sounds which are made in the world around them. The children in Reception have also been practising counting objects up to ten, and recognising the numerals which represent those numbers.

The Reception team would like to reiterate the great importance of writing your child’s name in all items of clothing, and on all personal items including: book bags; water bottles; lunch boxes etc. This will prevent any further losses of such items. Thank you for your cooperation.
