Dear parents and carers,
Happy New Year and welcome back, we hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing time over the holidays.
It has been a busy first week for Reception, here's what we have been doing;
In Literacy we have been writing about what we did during the holidays.
In Maths we have been learning all about the number 10. We have been finding the correct number on the number line and then collecting the correct amount of objects.
In Phonics- we have learnt a new sound 'l' and two new digraphs (two letters that make one sound) 'll' and 'ss'
We have also had a visit from the science museum who performed "The 3 little pigs". There was lots of scientific information and a big scary wolf!!
Over to you...
Please remember to read with your child EVERYDAY, we are seeing some great progress in those that are. Well done!
Also to continue to develop your child's independence encourage them to get dressed by themselves and remember their own book bags, lunch and water bottles ready for school.
Lastly , could you please now make sure that your child has a full PE kit in school.
Have a lovely weekend.
