Reception News 6.12.19

Dear parents and carers,

 Another busy week in Reception!

In Literacy we have continued to look at “This is the Bear” story and answer questions about the text.

In Maths, we have been learning all about the number eight. The children have been really busy accessing a variety of activities and games to help them master number eight.

In Phonics we've learned three new sounds: 'u’‘r’ and ‘h’. Help your children to think of and write words beginning with these sounds. Also, we’ve learned two new high frequency words: can, on

Reading– DO please hear your child read / discuss the book with them as often as possible and record in their reading record book so that they can continue to make progress.

Some children have shown brilliant development this half term.

If you can upload a video of your children reading at home, we would love to see this and share it with the whole class.

To develop their independence encourage your children to put their jumpers, coats, hats, scarves and gloves on independently.

Have a lovely and restful weekend!
