Another amazing week in our year group!
Friday 15th March is Red Nose Day-a day of fun and fundraising!!!!!!!!!!
The whole school is going to come together to raise money that will change lives here in the UK and in the world’s poorest communities.
What is Red Nose Day?
Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief.
Red Nose Day brings people together to have fun, raise money and change the lives of kids who need our help the most.
Phonics – we are continuing to follow the Letters and Sounds programme Phase 3.
This week we’ve learnt two new sounds: ’x’ and ‘y’. Help your child to think of and write words beginning with the new sounds.
Also we are learning to read and write new high frequency words.
This week we looked at these HFWS: be, all, was
Reading – DO please hear your child read / discuss the book with them as often as possible and record in their reading record book so that they can continue to make progress.
PE-a quick reminder-children have started their PE lessons so please remember to send your child’s PE kit in school if you haven’t done so yet.
