This week in Reception we have been reading ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf’. The Children were excellent at identifying noise related adjectives from the text and discussing how the wolf and other characters may have been feeling.
In Maths we were learning about time. We discussed the different ways to measure time e.g. electronic timers, clocks, egg sand timers, stop watches, months of the year and days of the week.
In Phonics, our new sounds were ‘th’, ‘sh’ and ‘ng’. The new high frequency words are ‘you’, ‘see’, ‘can’ and ‘down’.
Please make sure that you are reading with your child a minimum of three times a week to ensure your child receives a ‘Reading at Home’ certificate.
