Friday 23rd March 2018
This week in Maths we have been learning about mass, focusing on a half and a whole of an object and whether a container is full, half full or empty.
Please take this opportunity to log into your child’s unique Mathlethics account to review this topic. (Login details can be found stapled onto the inside cover of your child's reading records.)
In Literacy we have been reading ‘The Three Little Pigs’. The children acted out the story using props such as masks, straw, bricks and sticks.
In Phonics we have been learning the following sounds; ‘x’, ‘y’, ‘z’ and high frequency words ‘going’, ‘for’ and ‘like’. Please check your child’s high frequency word wallet to review the new words over the weekend.
Sports Relief Day on Friday was a big success. The children learnt about the importance of charity and where their money would be going. They enjoyed dressing up and taking part in an obstacle course to raise awareness on the day.
