Friday 22nd June
This week has been really exciting in school as we have been celebrating Rights Respecting Week. Each day, we focussed a different theme which voiced the UNICEF Rights for Children.
At the beginning of the week, the children were learning about how to keep themselves safe. We were really impressed at how much he children already knew about keeping themselves safe in the road, online and knowing the importance of following safety instructions.
The children have been lucky enough to take part in workshops this week, in which various visitors came in to help the children learn more about different aspects of their Rights.
Tuesday was a very exciting day as 2 of the year 5 classes took part in a 'Play in a Day'. 5 Rowan and 5 Maple were very impressive and managed to learn their lines and perform a whole play to the rest of the year Group in just 1 day. We were so proud of the way they conducted themselves all day and their confidence - well done!
Thank you to everybody who came to the Summer Fete on Thursday. I am sure you will agree, it was a fantastic evening and it seemed like everybody had lots of fun.
We hope you enjoy you weekend,
The Year 5 Team
