It has been another busy week this week in Year 5 working towards the end of the half term.
In Literacy, the children have really enjoyed writing their own Greek myths. We have been really impressed with their imaginative stories in which they have shown off their wonderful writing. The children are looking forward to merging the stories together to create their class book of myths.
This week, in Maths, we have been finishing our work on percentages and have moved on to looking at the properties of 2D shapes.
The children have been really excited this week as they designed and created their haunted houses. The children had fun building and painting their houses. After, they showed excellent problem solving skills by adding lighting and movement, which they coded using the Crumble program, to make them really spooky.
We would just like to say a huge thank you to Mr Hughes, who will be leaving us in Year 5 after the half term, to return to his Learning Mentor post in Th Hub. On behalf of us all in Year 5, thank you!
We hope you enjoy your half term break!
