Friday 4th May 2018
It has been a short week this week due to the school closure for the local elections on Thursday. The children in Year 5 have still worked really hard and have had an exciting week.
In Literacy, the children have carried on reading Sir Garwain and the Loathly Lady. The children have been focusing on King Arthur and reflecting upon some of the decisions he has made in the story so far.
In Maths, we have been learning about decimal numbers and are beginning to compare them to fractions and percentages.
The children were really excited to take part in the W.E.T Workshop on Friday. They were learning about the importance of water and took part in some team-building activities which taught them about the importance of clean and safe water. They thought about what drinks are healthy and how we can save water at home.
We hope you enjoy your long bank holiday weekend,
The Year 5 team
