Friday 2nd March 2018
It has been a very short week in school this week due to the unpredictable wintry weather which caused the school to close on Thursday and Friday.
At the start of the week, in Literacy, we have continued to read more of the tense poem 'The Highwayman'. The children are beginning to turn a scene of the book into a narrative, which they will continue next week.
In Maths, we have continued to look at fractions. We have been learning how to change between improper fractions and mixed numbers, and we will begin to look at how to multiply fractions at the start of next week.
In Topic, we have started to learn about the geographical features of the United Kingdom. Children have found out about the different countries that make up the U.K and have begun to locate major cities in the U.K using an atlas.
We hope you all have a very relaxing weekend and be sure to stay safe in these wintry conditions.
