This week in English we have continued studying “Escape from Pompeii”, which involved describing the main character of the story and preparing a short drama performance based on the story. We also compared this story to “Pompeii” and in groups, children discussed the differences and similarities in the stories.
Symmetry has been our focus in Maths this week. The children have had fun reflecting shapes and patterns. Please encourage your children to use Mathletics at home to earn points and receive certificates, and also please practise recalling times tables.
In Science, the children studied the different teeth and their functions.
During Topic lessons, children studied the famous Boudicca; the children are looking forward to the story telling performance of ‘Boudicca’ on Thursday, 5th October. Just a reminder, please return reply slips for Roman Day which is on Friday, 13th October and please make class teachers aware of any allergies or food requirements.
