Friday 15th June 2018

What lovely weather we have enjoyed towards the end of the week this week! The children have all been doing their best to work as hard as possible!

In Literacy, the children have begun to look at another Irish tale called The Children of Lir. They have enjoyed looking at all the different names and vocabulary the tale uses and have tried to incorporate this into their own endings. It was interesting hearing all the great ideas they were able to come with!

In Maths, the children have been revising the written methods of addition and subtraction. The majority of children were looking at 4-digit numbers, with some groups managing to complete some fantastic work looking at addition with 7-digit numbers. It was pleasing to see just how much the children have remembered from earlier on this year!

Can we remind everyone to bring in their consent forms and pay online for our upcoming Lee Valley school trip if they have not already done so.

Next week, we are celebrating 'Rights Week' and will be having non-uniform days on both Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd June. There will also be the school Fete on Thursday after school and we hope to see you all there!

Have a fantastic weekend.

The Year 4 Team.
