Friday 8th June 2018
Welcome back everyone, we hope you enjoyed a lovely week off!
The children have hit the ground running this week and have all been working very hard!
In Literacy, the children have begun looking at Irish Folk tales as we have started looking at our new topic of stories from another culture. The children enjoyed learning about traditional Irish tales, in particular about a new character Finn McCool. They were able to retell the stories in their own words including a lot of key facts.
In Maths, we have started looking at some very difficult multiplication questions this week. The children have been recapping the column method of multiplication, with some starting to multiply two and three digit numbers together. It is important for the children to practise their times tables each week at home.
On Friday, the children all dressed up in their sports clothing and took part in Soccer Aid activities. It was great to see the effort the children put in and they raised an amazing amount of money for the charity!
We hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
