Friday 3rd November 2017
This week in Topic we began our learning about life in the Polar Regions, what it’s like to live there, the people and the animals that live there. In Design and Technology, we have been planning and designing our own Polar Regions habitat boxes. Please can you keep bringing the shoeboxes in.
In Literacy, we have been reading 'The Whale's Song'. Children have really enjoyed performing drama roleplays and participating in class debates discussing the main themes of the text.
In Maths, we have been learning about fractions including equivalent fractions and finding fractions of amounts.
In Science we have begun learning about forces and magnets. Children will investigate magnets and identify materials that are magnetic and non-magnetic.
Just a reminder: can all children make sure they bring to school jogging bottoms and socks for Outdoor PE.
All Year 3 classes are visiting Valence library next week:
Aspen and Chestnut – Tuesday 7th November between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
Birch and Cedar – Wednesday 8th November between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
We hope you have a lovely weekend!
