Together We Learn, Together We Achieve

We have had another busy week in year 3. On Monday we all enjoyed our Sports Day and children were excited to take part in all the activities. Thank you to Parents/Carers for their support.

In Literacy we wrote our own explanation texts ‘How do Broken Bones Heal?’ and in Maths we continued telling the time as accurately as possible.

Next week we are going to make our own pizzas. Therefore this week pupils had a chance to taste some food and decide which ingredients they would use for their pizza toppings. They could choose from peperoni, chicken, ham, sweetcorn, sweet peppers and many more. All children enthusiastically took part in their food tasting.

In Art, children created their own collages inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s painting ‘Sunflowers 1988.’ First pupils drew sunflowers on a piece of polystyrene and painted them with acrylic. Then they cut their flowers as well as the vases, which they drew last week. Finally children had to stick both vases and flowers onto the background and draw stems and leaves.

We would like to remind Parents/Carers about Grafton Primary School 90th Birthday Celebration Picnic on Thursday 19th between 2pm and 3pm. We would be grateful if you could provide your children with blankets they will sit on during the picnic.

Enjoy your weekend.
