In Literacy, children have started exploring explanation texts this week. They have been identifying the features of explanation texts and reading and answering the questions about the text, ‘How Our Muscles Work.’
In Maths, we have been learning how to tell the time as accurately as possible. Pupils have looked at the differences between the analogue and digital clocks. They have learnt how to tell the time in a few different ways. Children have also been reading calendars. They have found out how to state the number of days in each month, year and leap year. Pupils have also used the rule to help them identify leap years.
In Science, we have continued learning about healthy bodies. Pupils have identified different muscles in our bodies and learnt what different muscles do. They have explored how muscles help us move and labelled the muscles on a diagram.
This week, as part of our Healthy Bodies topic, we have designed our own healthy pizza boxes. We hope to make our own pizzas very soon and make them as healthy and nutritious as possible.
We would like to remind the Parents/Carers to come and support us during Sports Day on Monday 9th July at 9.15. We hope to see you there in Valence Park.
Have a lovely weekend.
