In Literacy, children have continued with imaginary writing. At the beginning of the week, they wrote their own alternative endings to ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ Then they wrote the book reviews, explaining what they liked and didn’t like about ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and who they would recommend it to.
In Maths, we have been working on column addition this week. Children have learnt how to set out their written calculations correctly, using the formal written method. They have also solved addition word problems.
We have all enjoyed our trip to St. Mary’s Church this week. Pupils had lots of fun learning about the Easter story and acting it out. They have learnt about religious symbols and designed their own crosses.
We would like to let you know that Year 3’s Stone Age Day will take place on Tuesday 17th April 2018. To feel the spirit of the Stone Age, we would expect the pupils to create their own outfits which are to be worn on the day. Please, be as creative as you can.
Enjoy your weekend.
The Year 3 Team.
