safer internet day tuesday 9th february 2021
Dear parents and carers,
On Tuesday, 9 February 2021, we will celebrate the 18th edition of Safer Internet Day with actions taking place right across the globe. With a theme once again of "Together for a better internet", the day calls upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people. Further information about Safer Internet day can be found on: https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/safer-internet-day-2021/i-am-parent-or-carer
At Grafton, keeping all children safe online is paramount. On Tuesday 9th February children will have the opportunity to take part in a 'live' Google Meet session with their class teacher to discuss the importance of online safety and to revisit the SMART rules. A 'live' lesson will be available for all children in KS2 (year 3 - year 6). Additional learning resources will be provided on the classwork section of Google Classroom.
A parents' guide is attached with greater information to support you and your family staying safe online. If you are interested in setting up parental controls on the devices you have in your home please click on this link https://www.childnet.com/resources/parental-controls
