home learning & homework

Dear parents and carers,

Home Learning- for those children who are self-isolating/quarantining

Any child that displays symptoms of Covid-19 should be self-isolating and families that have returned from overseas countries, not on the government exemption travel corridor list.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-travel-corridors

Home learning will be placed on the school website weekly and is for those children who are having to self-isolate/quarantining at home ONLY.

Home Learning will be posted on the class pages of the school website. The home learning is based on the teaching and learning that the children would be receiving in class with many of the activities being the same wherever possible. Over the course of the week, we ask that the children complete as many of the home learning tasks as possible.

If your child is in school every day there is no need to complete the home learning.

Homework

Homework will be posted on the class pages of the school website each week. Homework is updated each Monday during term time. Homework is for all children and consolidates the learning that children have covered in class each week.  Homework books will be sent out and should not return to school.

Weekly homework will consist of:

  • Spellings
  • Maths task
  • Quiz of the Week

Children can practise their spellings, complete the Maths task and answer the quiz questions in the homework book. The answers will be posted the following week so that parents and children can self-assess their answers at home. Please remember not to return the homework books to school.

We ask that parents/carers support their child/children with their home learning and homework whenever possible.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards
