On Thursday 23rd January Grafton Primary School were joined by a special visitor from the charity, Sustrans.  Mr Chris Davy introduced himself to the year 3-6 children during assembly time. The children were eager to join in his ‘wheel of fortune’ game, where the children learnt about different reasons why it was better to take part in active travel (walk, bike, scooter etc.) rather than travelling by car all the time.

Mr Davy will be coming back in a few weeks to take part and deliver classroom workshops to the year 4 children on Air Quality. He will run a puncture repair masterclass with a few year 6 children as well has run a competition to encourage more children to ride their bikes or scooters to school. Keep your eyes peeled to find out more about the Golden Lock competition and to see how your child could be in with the chance to win prizes as well as being more active.

We are proud to also take this opportunity to introduce you to our very own ‘Bike It Crew’.
