Sporting Success for grafton

It has been a very successful week for the school on the sporting front.

The Year 6 Sportshall Atheltics team finished 2nd in the Borough Competiton; losing out by the narrowest of margins to Valence.

The Y6 Basketball team were runners up in the Borough 4 v 4 Basketball Tournament.

Having won all of their groups games ( Rose Lane 8-2; Monteagle 4-2; St. Peters 8-4 and Southwood 6-0) the Panthers defeated the St. Theresa’s Knicks in the semi final. (6-0) However, despite a marvellous effort, they lost the final to St. Theresa’s Bruins 8-4 and had to settle for the runners up spot.

The 2nd Grafton team, the Matadors, enjoyed a fantastic 18-0 win in their first game vs Marsh Green before narrowly losing to Valence and St. Theresa’s.

A huge congratulations to all of the children who took part. You did yourself and the school proud.

Mr. Farquhar
