Together We Learn, Together We Achieve

Thursday 18th October

It has been a very busy week for the last week of term. 6 Beech and 6 Mulberry had a wonderful time on the trip to the Imperial War museum on Monday. We are so proud of the way the children in the whole of Year 6 behaved and conducted themselves during their days out. They are a real credit to us here at Grafton.

In Literacy this week, we read some crucial chapters of 'Friend or Foe' and found out the tricky situation the boys were faced with in the book. The children enjoyed doing some role play and exploring the moral dilemma that David and Tucky faced.

In Maths, the children continued to work hard practising their short and long division skills. The children are beginning to get the hang of converting remainders into decimals, which can be a tricky task.

Thank you to all those parents and carers who came to the parent/teacher evening on Thursday. We hope that you enjoyed the evening and liked hearing about the wonderful things the children have been doing.

We wish you all a very restful half term and look forward to seeing you soon.

The Year 6 team.
