Together We Learn, Together We Achieve

Friday 12th October 2018

This week has been a very busy week in the lead up to the end of the first half term. The children have been completing some assessments to see how they have been getting on and what they have learnt since joining Year 6. We are really proud of what they have achieved already this year.

In Science, the children had lots of fun learning about and making periscopes. They learnt how light reflects and were able to use their skills to make a working periscope. Take a look at some of their fantastic work below.

On Thursday 6 Holly and 6 Willow were lucky enough to visit the Imperial War Museum in London. They had a great time and saw lots of interesting artefacts. You can find out more about the trip next week.

We would just like to remind everyone that next week will be the final week for swimming for 6 Holly, 6 Beech and 6 Mulberry, as 6 Willow have finished their last swimming session this week.

Please note: 6 Beech will be attending swimming on Tues 16th October and 6 Mulberry are going on Weds 17th October.

We look forward to seeing some parents and carers next week for the open evening on Thursday 18th October, which is also the last day of the term for the children.

Have a lovely weekend,

The Year 6 team.
