Friday 5th October 2018

This week has been a very exciting week in Year 6. In Literacy, the children have continued reading Michael Morpurgo's 'Friend or Foe'. The children really enjoyed writing their own endings to Chapter 4 this week, and are looking forward to finding out what really happens when we read on next week.

In Maths, we have been carrying on leaning about multiplication and division. The children have really impressed us with their prior knowledge of multiplication and have completed some challenging long multiplication calculations.

In Topic, the children have been learning about rationing. They learnt about the importance of rationing and looked at some propaganda posters that were used to promote it during WW2.

We would like to remind all parents and carers that Year 6 will be visiting the Imperial War Museum over the next 2 weeks. 6 Holly and 6 Willow will be visiting on Thursday 11th October and 6 Mulberry and 6 Beech will be going on Monday 15th October. Please ensure that children return their permission slips ASAP.

Enjoy your weekend!
