Another great week for the children!
In Literacy we started to look at a short film called The Piano. The children have been exploring the importance of soundtracks and their significance in films, their likes, dislikes and questions on the film and storyboards summarising the film's main scenes. They also went on to look into the individual characters and their thoughts and feelings throughout the film.
In Maths the children carried on learning addition and subtraction with decimal numbers. The children found this enjoyable as they were able to put previous knowledge to the test again. We finished the week looking at reasoning questions including addition and subtraction of decimal numbers.
In Geography we began to look at human and physical features and then practised our atlas work with a quiz looking for human and physical features within Africa and the United Kingdom. In Science we looked at reversible and irreversible changes and what makes them reversible and irreversible. The children looked at melting ice cubes, a burning candle, making toast and mixing salt and water together. The children really enjoyed being able to discuss and watch these changes.
On Friday we also took part in a non-uniform day for Sports Relief. The children dressed in their sportiest clothing and looked super ready to be super sporty!
We hope you have a lovely weekend!
