We hope everyone had a fantastic and relaxing week off!
What a great week back!
In Literacy this week the children were informed of Mr. Nicholson's proposal to reduce break times! (Oh no!) The children have been gathering research to then write a persuasive letter to convince Mr. Nicholson as to why this is a bad idea. They have been showing a real passion for this and created great letters to finally convince Mr. Nichoson to not reduce the break time. (YAY!!!)
In Maths this week the children have been looking at angles. They have been learning the different types, acute, right angle, obtuse and reflex. They have been using protractors to measure and draw these angles and finally looked at reasoning questions. Although challanging, the children really enjoyed being able to learn more on angles.
The children have also been finalising their planet brochures, trying to entice readers into wanting to come to a planet in the Solar System.
On Friday, the children also recieved a fire safety talk from the London Fire Brigade. The children learnt about how to keep themselves safe in the event of a fire, whilst also learning about the causes and how to prevent them. They really loved this talk and were extremely engaged, asking fantastic questions to learn even more!
We hope you have a brilliant weekend!
