The children have had another busy week in Year 5 this week!

In Literacy, the children have been creating Fact files on an animal from our book 'holes'. They have conducting independent research on lizards and have used this to help them create a non-chronological report on the creature. It was very interesting hearing all of the fun facts they were able to find!

In Maths this week, the children have been learning the formal written method of multiplication. They have been multiplying 2-digit numbers by other 2-digit numbers and have had to learn a range of new skills. We have been impressed with the children's knowledge of their times tables and would like them to continue to practice these as much as possible at home.

In our History lesson, the children were learning all about the Victorian crimes and punishments. They were shocked to hear some of the punishments and were able to create some fantastic diary entries as if they were a Victorian Prisoner.

We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

The Year 5 Team.
