This week, in Literacy, Year 5 have been learning about dialogue. The children have created their own dialogue based upon a missing scene from 'Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters.' The children have really enjoyed using role play to act out their scenes before applying their skills of punctuating direct speech to write their own version.
In Maths, we have been learning about multiplication. Children have been learning and revising the method of short multiplication to complete calculations.
In Science, children have learned about why objects fall and the affect gravity has.
In Topic, we have continued our learning about Africa, using an atlas to locate exact places using co-ordinates.
Children have been given a letter inviting them to a trip to Stubbers later in the year.
Just a reminder: Please can you remember to bring back the reply slips for the Year 5 Pantomime trip.
Have a lovely weekend,
The Year 5 team
