In English this week, we read a couple more chapters of our text, 'How to Train Your Dragon' by Cressida Cowell. We discussed the main events that occurred and wrote character descriptions for a character of our choice. Have a go at the homework, choose a different character to write a character description. Ensure you are able to describe the character so that the reader understands who it is you're writing about. Include adjectives, metaphors, similes, expanded noun phrases and conjunctions. Look on your homework sheet for support.
During our maths lessons we explored the link between fractions and decimals. We looked at the place value of hundredths and explored what happens when you divide one and two-digit numbers by 10 and 100.
In science we learnt all about condensation. This is the process in which gas changes into a liquid when it touches a cooler surface. We looked at different scenarios and explained what was happening using scientific language. Condensation is an important part of the water cycle, we will be learning about the water cycle in more detail in the coming weeks.
We began learning about Anglo-Saxons in our history lesson. We began by carrying out a pre-assessment to know what we already knew and what we want to find out.
