The children have had a fun-filled first week back in Year 4 this week.
To start the week, the children were introduced to their new Topic of Anglo-Saxons and Settlements. They had several artefacts and pictures of which they had to write what they believed they were and how they would have been used. It was very interesting hearing what some of the children thought and we look forward to seeing their reactions when they find out the correct uses!
In Literacy, the children have started reading our new book 'How To Train Your Dragon'. They all made some fantastic predictions about how they believed the book would be different from the film and created some detailed diary entries in the role of the main character, Hiccup.
On Thursday, the children were lucky to have a dry ice workshop in school for the day. Each class spent an hour working closely with the instructor and were able to participate in some very interesting experiments- we hope they haven't tried some of them at home!
Everyone enjoy your weekends and we look forward to seeing the children on Monday.
