y4 News Story 1.2.19

It has been another enjoyable week in Year 4 this week and the children have all been working very hard as we are starting to word towards the Half Term break.

In Maths, the children have been using their knowledge of Times Tables to help them understand the formal method of Multiplication. It has been very pleasing seeing just how much they have progressed with their Times Tables over the last few months and we would like them to keep practicing as much as possible at home.

In Literacy, the children have written their own stories with a dilemma as we finished our book 'The Dish and the Spoon'. They were able to create some fantastic ideas and have all written some brilliant stories that we can't wait to read.

We would like to remind everyone about the trips to Valence House next week. Oak and Hazel class will be going on Tuesday 5th, with Elm and Ash going the day after on Wednesday 6th.
Also, on Monday 4th the children are invited to wear orange to school in support of St. Francis Hospice.

Have a brilliant weekend and we hope that the weather warms up!
