About our School
Grafton Primary School is committed to safeguarding every child in our school.
Message from Martin Nicholson, Head Teacher,
Grafton Primary School was formed in April 2012 when Grafton Infants and Grafton Juniors amalgamated. Our school is a four-form entry school with 78 children in Nursery and an additional class currently in Year Six. Grafton Primary School is a diverse school with over 30 additional languages spoken by the children and their families and is set within the urban area of Dagenham.
Grafton Primary School is a friendly, welcoming and inclusive primary school with committed and supportive staff, governors and parents. We are a good school, aspiring to be outstanding. Our children are confident, enthusiastic and motivated learners who are proud of their school. We have a school council and the children take an active role in addressing issues within our school, influencing change and organising community events.
Our school is bright and attractive, with good use made of every single available space, including a new junior library and ‘The Hive’ – an inclusion base. Staff at Grafton strive to create stimulating and attractive environments which support the children in their learning.
The children are at the centre of everything we do. At Grafton Primary School we believe that
‘Together we learn. Together we achieve’.
